WELCOME EVERYONE!!
In attendance: Kelley Charland, Paul McLaughlin, David Riester, Maria Dramstad, Dorothy Dickson, Conny Thoma, Aimee Fellows, Jeanne Grant.
**Financial Report: As of 11/28/2011 there is $2370.64. This balance includes money earned from the Book Fair and sweatshirt sales and also money paid for the Book Fair and sweatshirt costs.
IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES
· December 2 - Dance (2 parents signed up to help)
· December 20 - Holiday Concert (chorus and handbells)
· December 23 - January 2 - NO SCHOOL - Holiday Break
· January 13 - Dance (parents signed up already)
· January 16 - Teacher In-service, no school for students
· January 19 - Empty Bowls
DANCE DATES: 2/10, 3/16(8th grade only at EMS with ADL, EMS and Westford), 4/20, and 5/11
PAP DATES: 1/5, 2/2, 3/8, 4/5, 5/3, and 6/7
FOLLOW-UP BUSINESS
· The Book Fair was again a huge success this year! Big, big thanks to Dorothy Dickson and Kim Garrett for coordinating the event and to Dorothy and Maria Dramstad for manning the fair the majority of the times it was open. A thank you also to all the volunteers who signed up for 3 hour blocks of time to man the fair throughout the week. There were over $2600.00 in sales resulting in a cash profit of $650 for ADL. A job well done for sure!
o This total is almost the same as last year. We got none from the online sales.
o The week we used for the sale is good because it coincides with the concert. To prepare for next year, we have to call them up to get the same week. Dorothy Dixon will make this call for us.
· ADL’s Got Talent show went well. It raised approximately $200.00 for the American Heart Association.
· How did the first concert of the year go? Did refreshments work out well? Went great.
· Tweens Presentations: Laurie to let Kelley know about Hector (Cyber Safety), Nicole and Cori presenting on 2/2 at 7 pm after our meeting? They’re suggesting two 45-minute presentations, and we’ll check into getting these done at two different meetings. Kelley will follow up.
OTHER BUSINESS
· Does the group working on Empty Bowls need any assistance from us? Laurie contacting Terry Potvin about this and will let Kelley know.
o We’ll try to get volunteers to help putting out flyers and supervising.
· Library talk from Melanie.
