FOLLOW-UP BUSINESS
·         ADL’s Got Talent show went well. It raised approximately $200.00 for the American Heart Association. Laurie estimated there were approximately 150 people in the audience and about 15 student groups performed.
·         We have reserved with Scholastic the same week for our Book Fair next year. This will again coincide with the Band Concert on the Thursday night of that week.
·         Thank you to Maria Dramstad and Conny Thoma for again manning the refreshments and drinks at the Holiday Concert.
·         The “Tween Talk” with Hector, Nicole and Cori will be held in conjunction with our next meeting on February 2nd. Our meeting will begin at 6 pm and be followed by the talks at 6:30. Each section of the talk will be 45 minutes in length, so the evening should wrap up around 8 pm. Laurie said that her experience has been that splitting the talk between two evenings tends to cause a drop in attendance. Nicole Williams is looking for some input into topics parents would like to have be addressed in that section of the talks.
·         Are 7th grade parent reps all set with help for Empty Bowls flyer distribution and with help in the kitchen that evening? Yes, we think we’re all set. Liz Adams and Patty Larose-Kent (sp?) are coordinating. Working with Terry Potbin.
·         Kelley will send volunteer spreadsheet to GASP organizers.

OTHER BUSINESS
Please begin to brainstorm for Staff Appreciation Week to be held the week of May 7-11th. Past ideas have included: Staff breakfast, staff luncheon, staff dessert/coffee bar, ice cream sundae bar, massages, reiki, daily raffles, mailbox prizes, cups of appreciation for mailboxes. Be creative! Something new and surprising would be neat for the staff here at ADL! They so deserve it! Should we create a committee for this big event?
Kelley will broadcast an e-mail to our volunteer spreadsheet to solicit ideas and interest.

Next meeting date is 2/2. Please note the meeting will begin at 6 pm and be followed immediately by the Tween Talks by Hector Tamayo, Nicole Williams and Cori Giroux. Please be sure to join us as this subject matter is fascinating!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING IN YOUR BOX TOPS TO THE FRONT OFFICE! ALSO, PLEASE GO ONLINE AND RE-ENROLL YOUR PRICE CHOPPER ADVANTEDGE CARDS FOR THE YEAR 2012. THANK YOU!

***********Next meeting is 2/2 at 6 pm followed at 6:30 pm by the Tween Talk with Hector Tamayo, Nicole Williams and Cori Giroux. This is an excellent presentation!! Please plan to come!**********
