Dorothy Dickson, Mindy Deibler, Nancy Bissonnette, Paul McLaughlin, Elizabeth
Logan
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL’S ADDRESS: Amie Conger, our new assistant principal
Ms Conger has been getting
acquainted with kids and school. She’s been part of a group working on
discipline (behaviors, consequences, but also restoration). She's been working to enhance the social
contract – leading up to rewards – and working with peer leadership and peer
recognition.
Laurie Singer (principal)
is compiling info from our climate survey. The test site said our results were
very positive.
FINANCIAL REPORT: As of January 2, 2013, we have $2861.06. We
have not received the Round 2 sweatshirt sales invoice yet, but this includes a

The next submission date is in April. We haven’t yet gotten (or paid)
the invoice for the sweatshirt sale.

FOLLOW-UP BUSINESS:
- Book Fair 2013 dates set with Scholastic? Nov 11-14
- Paul McLaughlin re: Carpool results? No results yet, but we need to publish better. The group is enthusiastic about pursuing this more. Paul will follow up with Mr. Moreau and Melanie Cote to get this into the ADL Agenda and with Laurie Singer for her newsletter. Idea about plugging into school events. Idea about handing out flyer at drop-off/pick-up times.
- New date for ADL’s Got Talent. None yet.
- Link up now for ADL Clubs on Home Page? Kelley will check into this further.
NEW BUSINESS:
- There is a link on the ADL Home Page to see the results of the CCSU Climate Survey.
- GASP Committee, March 15. Kelley put out an email to gain more volunteers. We have Dorothy and Paul, and we need two more volunteers. It’s not a labor-intensive activity. We need to get going as a committee by the end of January. (GASP = “Games And Sports Party”)
- Staff Appreciation Committee: Looking for fresh ideas. Maybe activity classes or some kind of pampering (and maybe not so much snacks and treats??). Thank you notes from parents. Quotes on a sheet/board. Be sure to remember the behind-the-scenes staff that gets forgotten.
- Email information has been given to Kevin Barber for Basketball Tournament volunteers.
ANY OTHER ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION?
None
(REMINDER) WAYS TO EARN MONEY FOR ADL:
- Please go online and register or reregister your Price Chopper Advantedge card for this school year. The website is www.pricechopper.com and you need to click on the consumer link in the Tools for Schools section of the website.
- We are again taking part in the Hannaford Helps Schools program. Please be on the lookout for the cash register slips that can be placed in our bin at the storefront this fall until just before the winter holidays.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO CONTINUE TO TURN IN BOX TOPS TO THE FRONT OFFICE! THANK YOU!
Our
next meeting date is February 5, 2013, at 6:30 pm.
**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TUESDAY NIGHT!!!** Thank you for coming.
