I posted almost a week ago about ways we parents can get involved in the Games And Sports Party at ADL (G.A.S.P.), and several of you have signed up already: 7 cakes and 2 on-site helpers during the evening!
There's still a need for 23 more cakes and 6 more on-site volunteers for this fun March 15 event. To get behind some fun for your kids, please take a look at the volunteer form here or use the link below. If you'll be helping on site, please be sure you submit a CCSU volunteer form if you haven't done so already this year.
If you have questions, please write to Paul McLaughlin (see the 'contact' link on the sign-up form).

Calling Volunteers and Bakers for the March G.A.S.P. Party
The sign-up form is ready for the annual Games And Sports Party set for Friday, March 15. We'll continue the tradition of outrageous cakes, but if you're not a baker you can still plug in to help on site.
We're hoping to get ten cakes from each grade. Make these fun!! People often try to outdo each other with creative theme cakes ... though we also love the store-bought cakes.
You can find the volunteer sign-up form here or use the link below. If you'll be helping on site, please be sure you submit a CCSU volunteer form if you haven't done so already this year.
If you have questions, please write to Paul McLaughlin (see 'contact' link on the the sign-up form).

to our schedule shift.)
PRINCIPAL’S
ADDRESS: Climate Survey results
ADL had some
of the best numbers all around. We had only a few surprises. We’re able to see
a break-down by grade level and even some sub-groups, and this helps us focus
some of our action planning. Overall, we got good feedback and helpful
information that we can work on.
Like
many schools in our area, the social aspect scored least positive (e.g., being
nice to each other). The feeling-safe score was relatively strong ... which is unusual
because safety usually suffers when the social aspect is lower.
Another couple
of areas were social & civic engagement which was a lower score for many
schools in our area and also professional leadership.
We knew
it was a big effort by the parents and are very appreciative of those who took
the time to give us input. Likewise, thanks to the staff who help digest the
inputs and are working to formulate the next steps.
Next
month (March 7) we’ll be able to hear about NECAP results.
FINANCIAL
REPORT: As of February 1, 2013, we have $2493.81. This reflects a payment of
$367.25 for the Round 2 of sweatshirt sales.
