The sign-up form is ready for the annual Games And Sports Party set for Friday, March 14. We'll continue the tradition of outrageous cakes, but if you're not a baker you can still plug in to help on site.
We're hoping to get ten cakes from each grade. Make these fun!! People often try to outdo each other with creative theme cakes ... though we also love the store-bought cakes. Some students like to bake cakes, too.

WELCOME:

PRINCIPAL’S ADDRESS:
A new action plan is getting
started: Strategic plan (3-5 years), brainstorming what ADL learning environment
might look like in 3-5 years (and we did a little brainstorming exercise among
the group as part of the discussion). There’ll be a day in March (TBD) and
another in April to work on the plan. It’d be great to include a couple parents
and students (please contact Mrs. Singer if interested).
FINANCIAL REPORT: As of
January 31, 2014, we have a balance of $2900.81. This is unchanged from last month.

8th Grade Spaghetti Dinner is planned
for Thursday, March 6th. The
plans are well underway and volunteers are signing up to help.
Staff Appreciation Week Committee- week of May
5-May 9th.
We are in need of a co-facilitator for Parents
as Partners beginning next year.
Follow Up Business:
“Wonder” Book Project email follow-up. Parents as Partners to make a donation? We voted and approved
a substantial donation of $1000 to help the project.
How did Winter Olympics go? Great spirit. Some teachers described it as the “best day of teaching
ever!” The greeting of the torch relay folks was special. We had Barbara
Cochran as a speaker.
Please remember to continue to turn in Box Tops to the front office.
Once again, we are signed up in the Price Chopper Tools for Schools program. Please go onto to www.pricechopper.com to enroll your Advantedge card points to be assigned to ADL and we will receive enough points at the end of the school year to “purchase” some art supplies that the entire school gets to use.
